The main attraction of the place being the sacred Sri Maha Bodhiya-the oldest living tree in the world, Anuradhapura owns a number of other incredible ruins. Among them, Ruwanweliseya, Thooparama temple, Abhayagiri temple, the ruins of low maha Paya and Jethawanaramaya temple play major roles. In addition to that, the large reservoir of still water, and acres and acres of green paddy fields adds unforgettable memories to your trip in Sri Lanka.
