One of the most sacred mountains in Sri Lanka, renowned for its yellow coloured clouds of butterflies drifting above the pilgrims, worships by Buddhists, Hindus, Muslims, and Christians alike,. Buddhist believe that the sacred footprint embedded on the rock at the top of the mountains is Lord Buddha’s, while Hindus believe its Lord Shiva’s and Muslims believe that it the foot print of Adam and Christians, that of St. Thomas.
